
The Austin Retired Teachers Association Foundation was certified in 2008 as a legal foundation by the Texas Secretary of State. The Foundation is operated exclusively for educational purposes in accordance with Section 501(c-3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Twelve high school seniors were awarded scholarships at the May 2026 meeting. The ARTA Foundation also gave continuing support to two scholars from last year and three continuing scholars for a third year funded by the generous donation from Julia Mellenbruch's family in her memory.

Our goal is to award one scholarship to each of Austin's fourteen high schools and a least two scholarships each year to continuing scholars.
